The 8th foundation day of the Smart City Mission was celebrated with enthusiasm across Nagpur, India. The occasion witnessed several infrastructure development programs organized by the Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL). The event aimed to inform citizens about ongoing and upcoming projects in the city, fostering a sense of hope and anticipation for Nagpur's journey as a smart city.
Ajay Gulhane, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NSSCDCL, along with his team, interacted with citizens and provided insights into various initiatives planned for their benefit. The attendees had the opportunity to inspect the ongoing construction of a large building named 'Home Sweet Home,' which caters to project-affected individuals in East Nagpur at the Area Based Development site. Former corporators Deepak Wadibhasme and Vaishali Rohankar were also present during the briefing.
As part of the celebration, citizens had the chance to explore the mobile surveillance van of the Nagpur Police, emphasizing the city's commitment to safety and security. They also visited the Atal Behari Vajpayee City Operation Center, a central hub for monitoring and managing various aspects of the smart city. The presence of key officials, including Chief Financial Officer Neha Jha, Company Secretary Bhanupriya Thakur, and department heads like Rajesh Dufare, Dr. Sheel Ghule, Rahul Pandey, and Manish Soni, further enhanced the significance of the occasion.
Several individuals contributed to the successful celebration, including Moin Hasan, Shrikant Ahirkar, Anoop Lahori, Kunal Gajbhiye, and Apoorva Fadnavis.
