₹151 Crore Sanctioned for Maratha Hostels, Women's Hospital in Nashik

CM Shinde, DCMs Fadnavis and Pawar to Inaugurate Major Development Projects in Nashik

Nashik, India: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, is set to lay the foundation stone for five key development projects in Nashik on Saturday. The initiatives include the construction of student hostels, a women's hospital, the Van Bhawan for the forest department, and the widening of the vehicular underpass at Indiranagar junction to reduce traffic congestion.

Nashik Central MLA Devyani Pharande, speaking to reporters, highlighted that the state government has approved two separate hostels for boys and girls, each with a capacity of 500 students from the Maratha community. The hostels will be built on land belonging to the Dairy Development Board, located along Trimbakeshwar Road in Nashik. The project, costing ₹151 crore, will also feature a library with space for 300 students, a canteen, an administrative building for the divisional office of SARTHI, and staff quarters.

Pharande further announced that another set of hostels, each with a capacity of 100 students from the Dhangar community, will be built on the same campus. The state government has sanctioned ₹58.3 crore for this project, aimed at providing better facilities and support for students in Nashik.
