Wardha, Arvi: A 16-year-old girl was gang-raped on Monday night in the Neri (Mirzapur) Rehabilitation Colony in Wardha. The incident occurred after the girl and her 16-year-old boyfriend were followed to a house by a group of five men, including a juvenile.

The police quickly arrested four adults: Pranay Bulbule (19), Shubham Ladke (21), Akshay Parve (22), and Shivam Sarasar (27), all from Arvi. A juvenile suspect from Satargaon was also detained.

Reports indicate that the girl had been home after failing her Class 10 exams. She met the boy through Instagram, and they decided to meet at Gandhi Chowk before going to a relative's house which was empty at the time.

While they were there, the group of men knocked on the door. When the boy opened it, they pushed him aside and entered, taking turns to assault the girl. The boy later returned with friends to rescue her, but the attackers fled before they arrived. 

After the incident, the girl told her mother what happened, and they went to the local police station to report the crime. 

The police have charged the suspects under several laws, including the POCSO Act, and are actively investigating the case. Authorities managed to arrest the suspects within hours, showing their commitment to addressing such serious crimes.
