Nagpur, India- On August 5, 2024, the Nagpur City Police carried out a series of actions against illegal activities under various laws, including the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, the NDPS Act, and gambling laws. Police registered seven cases under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act and one case under the NDPS Act, involving a total of 18 individuals, and seized goods worth ₹19,180. Additionally, one person was apprehended under the gambling laws, with ₹815 in gambling materials confiscated.

The Traffic Police also took action under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act, penalizing 2,810 drivers and collecting fines totalling ₹2,75,400.

These coordinated efforts by the Nagpur City Police aim to enforce laws effectively and maintain order. The police have urged citizens to follow traffic rules and carry all necessary vehicle documents while driving. Further actions will continue to ensure compliance and safety.
