Nagpur, India- So far, 2.10 lakh women from Nagpur district have applied for the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.' You can apply online or offline. The deadline for applications has been extended from July 15 to August 31.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reviewed the scheme's progress on Thursday. He spoke via video conference with District Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officers, and the Chief Secretary. They discussed the issues faced by applicants and how to improve the scheme's implementation. In Nagpur, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, Additional Collector Tushar Thombare, and Zilla Parishad CEO Saumya Sharma participated in the meeting.

Dr Itankar highlighted the need for a more decentralized approach to running the scheme. Announced by the State Government during the budget session, this scheme helps women aged 21 to 65 from families with incomes below ₹2.5 lakh. The response has been positive, with many women lining up to apply.

Applications can be submitted online through the 'Nari Shakti Doot' app or at Setu centres. Offline applications are also accepted at Anganwadi centres and NMC centres in all wards of Nagpur if online submission is not possible. Municipal Commissioner Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari is also helping to manage the scheme in urban areas.

District Information Officer Vinod Rapatwar stressed that good management is crucial. He noted that women from all backgrounds are actively participating in this scheme.
