22 Individuals Arrested in Nagpur Gambling Raids, Cash and Valuables Seized
Nagpur Police arrested 22 individuals in gambling raids across Yashodhara Nagar and Sakkardara, seizing cash, mobile phones, and items worth Rs 3.40 lakh.

Nagpur, India: City Police conducted raids at two locations in Yashodhara Nagar and Sakkardara, catching 22 individuals red handed while gambling with cards. During the operation, authorities seized cash, playing cards, and other materials valued at over Rs 3.40 lakh.
Yashodhara Nagar Police raided a gambling den at Pravesh Nagar, near Quality Kirana Stores, where they caught 17 people in the act of gambling. The police seized Rs 8,080 in cash, 17 mobile phones, and other items worth Rs 3.40 lakh.
The accused individuals have been identified as Arbaz Aziz Akhtar (19), Sarfaraz Shaikh (25), Sayyad Kamil Sayyad Shakeel (21), Mohammad Jafar Mohammad Haneef (25), Arafat Khan Kayyum Khan (21), Sharik Khan Sadiq Khan (20), Mohammad Ajwad Kayyum Khan (22), Sohail Firoz Khan (20), Fazal Qadir Qureshi (21), Ahmad Raza Mohammad Gulam Ansari (23), Sarfaraz Shaikh Kalam (24), Faizan Riyasuddin Shaikh (40), Sayyed Imran Sayyed Sadiq (22), Shadab Abdul Sattar (22), Rizwan Rafiq Shaikh (31), Afsar Abdul Rafiq Shaikh (25), and Sharif Bashir Shaikh (24).
Most of the accused are residents of the Yashodhara Nagar and Tajbag area. In a similar operation, Sakkardara Police raided a gambling spot near Shahesha Chowk and apprehended Shahbaz Shaikh Khalid Shaikh (21), Mohd Aavesh Mohammad Firoz (21), Jishaan Nawazul Jahid (21), Sayyed Wasim Sayyed Akhtar (23), and Ujaif Khan Shaid Khan (21).
The police confiscated cash and playing cards worth Rs 3,600 from the suspects. Separate cases under Section 12 of the Gambling Act were filed against the gamblers at Yashodhara Nagar and Sakkardara Police Stations.
