22-Year-Old National Roller Skater, Siddhi, Becomes Youngest Member after Winning GP Polls

Siddhi Sharma, a national roller skating hockey player, secured victory in the Waigaon Ghoturli gram panchayat election, as the results were announced on Monday. At the age of 22, she will be the youngest member of the gram panchayat. Despite her numerous accomplishments in state and national roller skating hockey tournaments, Siddhi remained humble about her win. She expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming love and support she received from the people and pledged to make addressing the basic amenities issues in her ward her top priority.
Siddhi extended her thanks to her family and constituents for their unwavering support during her campaign. She also emphasized her commitment to continue participating in roller skating hockey while focusing on her studies for civil service examinations. She assured everyone that her dream of pursuing civil service would be fulfilled as she served the people.
Siddhi's remarkable roller skating achievements include participating in the National Championship organized by the Roller Skating Federation of India from 2010 to 2019. She won the gold medal in the 1st India Skate Roller Games in 2022, held in Mohali, Punjab. In the same year, she secured a silver medal in the 60th National Roller Skating Championship in 2022, which took place in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In 2021, she also earned a silver medal in the 59th National Roller Skating Championship held in Mohali.
