Nagpur, India: A 37-year-old welder, Akash Ramesh Nagzhare, tragically lost his life after being electrocuted in Mahadula on Monday night while working at a construction site.

Nagzhare was working on a newly constructed house on Ghogli Road when the incident occurred. According to the police, he was assisting his helper with welding work. During the task, the helper accidentally injured himself with a grinder machine. In an attempt to assist his injured colleague, Nagzhare unknowingly came into contact with a high-voltage 11,000 KV power line running above the roof.

Neighbours rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Nagzhare was the sole breadwinner for his family, which included his elderly parents, wife, and two young children—a son and a daughter. His sudden demise has left his family in deep shock and grief.

Khaparkheda Police have registered a case of accidental death and are continuing their investigation into the incident.
