Amravati: A 65-year-old man from Ashtgaon, Morshi tehsil, has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), making it the first reported case in Amravati.

The man was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the District General Hospital after experiencing weakness in his hands. He had returned from Pune 12 days ago and was first treated at a private hospital before being moved to the ICU.

Cases of GBS have been rising in Pune, worrying health officials. The Health Department is now keeping a close watch on the situation and taking precautions.

Authorities are asking people to stay alert and report any unusual symptoms to doctors immediately.
