Nagpur, India: Eight people were injured when a mini bus carrying devotees crashed into a parked truck on the Nagpur-Jabalpur Highway in Deolapar early Monday morning. Three of them were seriously hurt and have been taken to Nagpur for better treatment.
The group, from Karnataka, was returning to Bangalore after visiting Prayagraj and Kashi for a pilgrimage. They had stopped for dinner in Madhya Pradesh around 10 pm before continuing their journey.
Near Deolapar, a truck (MP 20 ZQ 6476) was parked on the road without lights or warning signs. The driver had left the truck to withdraw cash from an ATM. Due to poor visibility, the mini bus (KA 13 B 7515) driver did not see the truck in time and crashed into it, badly damaging the front of the bus.
Police from Deolapar arrived quickly after being informed and started an investigation.
