Indian actress Raveena Tandon was conferred with the Padma Shri Award for her work as an artist at the 2023 Padma Awards. The award was presented to her by President Droupadi Murmu at a Civil Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The actress was among 106 people who received the award this year, including Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravaani and Indian percussionist Zakir Hussain.

The Padma Shri Award is the fourth-highest civilian honour in India and is bestowed upon individuals who have made distinguished contributions in any field. Meanwhile, the Padma Bhushan is granted to those who have made distinguished contributions of a high order, and the Padma Vibhushan is the highest civilian award given to those with exceptionally distinguished services.

This year, a total of 6 Padma Vibhushans, 9 Padma Bhushan, and 91 Padma Shri Awards were conferred. Raveena Tandon had been announced as one of the recipients of the Padma Shri Award in January 2023, and she was present at the ceremony to receive the honour from the President. The Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian award in India, but it has not been bestowed on any single person since 2019.
