Nagpur, India:  With the Navratri festival set to take place from October 3 to October 12, the Nagpur city administration has issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth transportation during the celebrations. The festival is expected to attract a large number of devotees visiting the Agyaram Devi temple, raising concerns about potential traffic congestion in the area.

To avoid disruption, the authorities have announced a ban on all types of vehicles, including bicycles and cycle rickshaws, on the route from Jadhav Chowk to Agyaram Devi Chowk. This restriction will be in effect daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM and again from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM throughout the festival period.

Traffic from various routes will be redirected as follows:

  1. Cotton Market Chowk to Agyaram Devi Temple: Vehicles will proceed straight through Ganesh Mandir Chowk towards the Tilak Statue. Traffic from Agyaram Devi Chowk towards Raman Tea Point will head towards Empress Mall.

  2. Tilak Statue to Agyaram Devi Chowk: Vehicles will continue straight to Cotton Market Chowk. Traffic from Agyaram Devi Chowk heading towards Raman Tea Point will also divert towards Empress Mall.

  3. Baidyanath Chowk to Agyaram Devi Temple via Jadhav Chowk: This traffic will be redirected towards Mokshdham and Model Mill.

  4. Model Mill to Jadhav Chowk: Vehicles will be directed towards Mokshdham and Baidyanath Chowk.

  5. Mokshdham to Agyaram Devi Temple via Jadhav Chowk: Traffic will be rerouted towards Model Mill and Baidyanath Chowk.

Officials urge citizens to cooperate with the traffic restrictions to facilitate smooth transportation and avoid any inconveniences during the festival. The administration appreciates the public's understanding and cooperation in maintaining order during this festive period.
