Akola, India: A heated confrontation broke out at the Civil Lines police station in Akola when a woman physically attacked her husband upon learning that he had secretly married her cousin.

Sujay Tayde, a resident of Vihora village in Barshitakli taluka, had been married to Komal (name changed) for nine months. However, while Komal was away in Amravati for her exams, Sujay married her maternal cousin, Shreya (name changed), without her knowledge.

The shocking revelation came when Sujay casually informed Komal about his second marriage over a video call and told her not to return home. Furious over the betrayal, Komal rushed to Akola and filed a complaint at the Civil Lines police station.

Coincidentally, Sujay and his new wife arrived at the station while she was there. Unable to contain her anger, Komal launched a physical assault on him in front of stunned bystanders, slapping and kicking him repeatedly. The unexpected scuffle created chaos, forcing police officials to intervene.

The case has now been transferred to MIDC Police Station, where legal proceedings against Sujay are in progress.
