Son Murders Elderly Father in Amravati Village Over Neglect Dispute
A son killed his father with an iron rod after a dispute over neglect complaints, leading to his arrest the next morning.

Vidarbha, Amravati, India: An angry son murdered his elderly father by striking him on the head with an iron rod, allegedly in response to complaints the father made to relatives about his neglect and lack of care. The incident occurred on October 21 in Bhamod village, within the jurisdiction of the Yeoda Police Station in the district.
The police arrested the accused son on the morning of October 22. The deceased father was identified as Ramkrishna Sadashiv Katre, 60, and the accused son is Atul Ramkrishna Katre, 40. Sources report that the father and son visited a bank in Daryapur on Monday morning.
After finishing their work at the bank, both returned to Bhamod together. Later, around midnight, a dispute broke out between them, and Atul, in a fit of anger, struck Ramkrishna on the head with a pestle. Ramkrishna collapsed in a pool of blood and died at the scene. At that time, only four individuals were present in the house, including Atul's wife and daughter.
Upon receiving the information around 4 a.m. on October 22, the Yeoda police quickly arrived at the scene.
