The 137th Wimbledon Championships were held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) over the past two weeks. In the women's singles final, Barbora Krejcikova overcame a determined Jasmine Paolini, and in the men's singles final, Carlos Alcaraz successfully defended the title and denied Novak Djokovic the ultimate retribution by defeating the seven-time Wimbledon champion in straight sets.

Since the Championships is the oldest Grand Slam, spectators from all over the world are aware of its unique tradition, culture, and history. Nonetheless, AELTC provided a novel experience for Indian supporters. They collaborated with Star Sports to broadcast the matches with Hindi commentary as part of their effort to popularize the sport in India.

Ankita Raina, a prominent tennis player in India, spoke at length about her relationship with AELTC and the influence the program will have on the sport in her homeland.

Before discussing how individual achievements, such as those of the legendary Rohan Bopanna and Sumit Nagal in 2024, have inspired other players, she also talked about her own Wimbledon experience.
