Nagpur, India:  In preparation for the upcoming winter session of the Maharashtra Legislature, Commissioner of Police Ravinder Singal has instructed Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads (BDDS) to intensify surveillance and conduct thorough anti-sabotage checks at high-security and sensitive locations across the city.

Key areas, including Vidhan Bhavan, morcha stopping points, and other crowded zones, will be under strict monitoring during the session, which begins on Monday. BDDS teams from Nagpur and other units across the state have been brought in to ensure comprehensive security coverage.

Commissioner Singal emphasized a mission-mode approach with the motto “Majha Vishwas, Majhi Team” (My Belief, My Team). A detailed anti-sabotage blueprint has been developed in coordination with state and central intelligence agencies to counter any potential threats.

The Nagpur police have also coordinated with the State Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) to bolster security. Local intelligence units, or khupiya, have been instructed to remain operational round-the-clock, enhancing real-time threat detection and response capabilities.

Citing intelligence inputs about possible anti-national activities targeting government establishments, the city police have implemented a robust strategy. BDDS teams have been directed to inspect all unattended or abandoned objects in and around strategic locations to prevent any untoward incidents.

This comprehensive security arrangement aims to ensure the safety of all attendees and the smooth functioning of the winter session, reflecting the city police’s dedication to maintaining law and order.
