In 2020, 30-year-old Canadian artist AP Dhillon made his debut on the Punjabi music scene. But before that, he faced his share of difficulties. AP recalled the occasion when he was turned down for a hotel room because he didn't have a credit card in an interview with Bollywood Hungama.

"I brought two instances. I attempted to sleep on them after setting them down. You don't appear like a homeless person, said the brown girl who approached me. Why are you sleeping in such a manner? I related the tale to her. Then she told her boyfriend—or fiance, I forget which—to give this man his credit card. In the interview, AP remarked, "And I recall that man warning me, 'Bro, please don't steal anything, break anything' (smiles). There are nice individuals out there, he continued. I wondered at the end of the show, "Who will bring each other up if we don't?"

AP Dhillon: First of a Kind, a brand-new four-part docuseries by Jay Ahmed, is currently available to watch on Prime Video India. The docuseries' Mumbai premiere occurred last week while AP was in India. Celebrities that supported the singer at the launch included Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Badshah. At the premiere and the afterparty, AP was spotted coming and having a good time with his rumored girlfriend Banita Sandhu.
