At the 'Wonderlust' launch event on Tuesday, Apple debuted the eagerly anticipated iPhone 15 series. Four new iPhone models—the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max—along with a new Apple Watch series and AirPods Pro with USB-C connectivity were unveiled by the Cupertino-based business.

After the presentation, people started chatting about the phone's price in India, its features, and Apple's choice to use USB Type-C for its new models on social media. Naturally, the introduction sparked jokes and memes about the unveiling on microblogging site X (previously Twitter), with #Appleevent dominating trends. To poke fun at the company's tardy embrace of USB-C charging technology, some users even published old recordings of Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Returning to the launch event, one of the key topics this year was sustainability, with Apple claiming that some of its new smartwatches are now carbon neutral and that it is employing even more recycled metals in its devices.

With 128GB of base storage, the iPhone 15 starts at 79,900 and the iPhone 15 Plus at 89,900. Preorders for the phone will start to be accepted on September 15 and sales will start on September 22. The starting price for the iPhone 15 Pro is $1,34,900 for 128GB of storage, while the starting price for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is $1,59,900 for 256GB of storage.
