Nagpur, India: In another shocking incident on January 14, 2025, two individuals were arrested for attempting to murder a man in the Ambazari police station area. The victim, Karan Ashok Singh Gautam, a 20-year-old resident of Vrindavan Colony, Katol Road, was working at a cafe named Shap near Hilltop Road, System Complex.

The accused, Rinku Ganesh Masram (21) and Sahil Surendra Kariyaar (20), both residents of Jayanagar, allegedly approached Gautam and began arguing with him. According to the police, the accused claimed that the victim’s Chinese stall had led to a decrease in customers, causing them financial losses. The dispute quickly changed into a heated argument, during which the accused threatened to kill Gautam.

The accused attacked Gautam with a knife, stabbing him in the head, and then on the shoulder, causing serious injuries. The victim was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment for his wounds.

The case was filed after Gautam’s brother, Shraddha Ashok Singh Gautam, 23, complained to the Ambazari police station. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under sections 109, 296, 351, and 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including charges of attempted murder.
