Everyone agrees that carrots are excellent for vision. But according to a recent study, baby carrots are capable of much more. According to a study conducted by Mary Harper Simmons at Samford University, baby carrots may hold the key to beautiful, glowing skin.

Elevated skin carotenoids levels-
According to a study that was presented at the NUTRITION 2024 conference, young individuals' skin carotenoids can be elevated by eating baby carrots as a snack at least three times a week.

Elevated levels of skin carotenoid pigments may contribute to enhanced antioxidant defense and reduced likelihood of chronic illnesses. When skin carotenoid levels are elevated, the body's immune system as a whole can also be strengthened.

In a press statement, Samford University Master of Science in Nutrition student Mary Harper Simmons, the study's principal author, stated that prior research has linked healthy skin to eating a recommended quantity of fruits and vegetables each day. But according to a recent study, a minor dietary adjustment—adding baby carrots—can significantly improve skin health.
