In an effort to attract more nature lovers, the Nagpur Forest Department is now renovating "Balodyan" (Van Udyan) in Seminary Hills. Rich in biodiversity, the garden is a major attraction for both local morning walkers and tourists. But the department hasn't been taking good care of it in a long.

In order to accommodate children and visitors intrigued by the garden's natural charm, the Forest Department is renovating it. Renovating Balodyan and the "Vanbala" stations has cost about Rs 4 crore, according to Dr. Bharat Singh Hada, Nagpur's deputy conservator of forests. The garden will return to tourists in two weeks, he anticipates, when the work is completed in the next fifteen days.

Recently, Vanbala, the toy train that brings delight to children in Balodyan and pride to the Seminary Hills forest, has started running again. In order to bring this attractiveness back to Nagpur's youth, the Forest Department spent roughly Rs 70–80 lakh. Rejuvenated Vanbala will offer daily joy rides from 10 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm, barring Mondays. The renovated Balodyan will feature new rides, strolling trails, and a snack court.

This miniature train was one of the city's most popular tourist attractions ten years ago. But over time, the department's poor upkeep caused it to lose its allure. "Vanbala is drawing a lot of interest in Balodyan, and the response is tremendous.
