Nagpur, India: Beltarodi Police caught a truck involved in cattle smuggling and rescued 60 cattle that were being illegally transported from Madhya Pradesh to Telangana for slaughter.
After receiving a tip off, the DB team of Beltarodi Police set up a blockade at the Panjri toll booth. When they stopped and checked the truck, they found 64 cattle cruelly tied up inside, with four already dead.
The police arrested the truck driver, Aslam Khan Hakim Khan from Madhya Pradesh and the surviving cattle were sent to Gorakshana Kendra.
A case has been registered against the accused under various sections, and he has been taken into custody while the investigation continues.
During this operation, the police seized goods worth approximately 40 lakh rupees, including the truck and cattle.
