Police investigation into the murder of photographer Vinay, also known as Bablu Poonekar, in Raj Nagar, has revealed important details. According to medical professionals, it appears that the perpetrators used two pistols in the killing of Poonekar. Both the post-mortem report and forensic analysis indicate the use of two pistols in the murder. Police state that the assailant, identified as Hemant Shukla, seized Poonekar’s hair before firing shots, hitting him first from behind the neck and later from the front. The police were unaware of the involvement of two guns in the crime. However, investigations say that the accused was carrying two weapons during the incident.

Further investigation has found a connection between the perpetrator, Hemant Shukla, and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Bishnoi, a criminal with numerous charges, including murder and extortion, is reported to have links with Shukla. Sakshi Grover has already been arrested in connection with Poonekar’s murder. Grover confessed to dropping Shukla off at Ajni Railway Station. It is suspected that Shukla while searching for trains to Raipur, managed to evade the police. He likely fled to Raipur and then to Uttar Pradesh before crossing the border into Nepal with the assistance of the Bishnoi gang.

The incident occurred last Saturday when Hemant brazenly entered Poonekar’s house in broad daylight and fatally shot him twice. Sakshi Grover, originally from Madhya Pradesh, had lost her husband three years ago and had relocated to her parents’ residence in Nagpur. Shukla and Sakshi were in a relationship and had stolen jewellery worth Rs 50 lakhs from her in-laws' house in Katni, Madhya Pradesh.
