In the ongoing investigation into the murder of photographer Vinay, also known as Bablu Poonekar, by the Sadar Police, a revelation has been identified. The accused were part of a blackmail, targeting Poonekar for the past two years. Additionally, the shooter, Hemant Shukla, is involved in same blackmail activities involving seven other in the city. The intricate web of deceit uncovered by authorities has left investigators stunned, shedding light on the underlying motives behind the crime. A police official revealed, "Accused Sakshi Grover (35) and shooter Hemant Shukla were extorting money from Poonekar."
Further inquiry uncovered that Hemant Shukla had gained access to Sakshi Grover’s WhatsApp account, intercepting conversations between Poonekar and Sakshi, as well as others. Exploiting these exchanges, Shukla coerced individuals into paying him money. Unfortunately, Poonekar also succumbed to Shukla’s threats for financial gain. Despite Poonekar's previous complaint to the Cyber Police regarding threatening calls from Shukla last year, no action was taken at that time. Authorities noted that financial disputes were a significant factor in the murder case.
It's noteworthy that Hemant Shukla, originally from Azamgarh, brazenly entered Poonekar’s home in broad daylight, fatally shooting him twice last Saturday. Sakshi, originally from Madhya Pradesh, had been residing with her parents in Nagpur following her husband's demise three years ago. It was during this period that Hemant, employed as a trainer in a relative’s gym, became acquainted with Sakshi.
