Nagpur, India: A bomb threat received at the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court on Monday evening created panic among court staff and security officials. This is the second such false alarm within a month.

The threat was reported around 5 PM by a man identified as Omprakash Sadhwani, a resident of Jaripatka. He contacted the Sadar Police Station claiming that a bomb had been planted inside the High Court premises. Although court proceedings had concluded for the day, many administrative staff were still inside.

Police immediately informed the High Court Registrar and launched a thorough search operation. Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) teams, along with sniffer dogs, scoured the entire building but found nothing suspicious. The alert was later declared a hoax.

Sadhwani, who reportedly suffers from mental health issues, was taken into custody by the police. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the law.

This is the second bomb scare at the Nagpur High Court in the last 30 days, raising serious concerns over security. Authorities are expected to review and tighten safety measures to avoid such incidents in the future.
