Nagpur, India: The Ambazari police have arrested two individuals in connection with the brutal murder of 28-year-old café owner Avinash Bhusari, who was shot dead in Dharampeth on 14 April. Those arrested include Simran Lokhande, girlfriend of the main accused Bunty alias Shailesh Hiranwar, and his aide Rishabh Harish Wankhede.

According to police sources, both Simran and Rishabh played a key role in helping the murder accused escape the city after the incident. Bhusari was gunned down near Shosha Café, which he owned, in the early hours of the morning. A group of assailants allegedly led by Bunty Hiranwar ambushed Bhusari and opened fire, killing him on the spot.

The attackers — including Ritik Dhiraj Hiranwar, Shashikant alias Sonu alias Jungle Dilip Shendre, Siddhant Bhardwaj, Monu alias Monya Kalsarpe, Shakti Rajesh Yadav, Babu Hiranwar, a youth named Sidhu, and several others — are believed to have fled the scene shortly after the murder. They reportedly gathered in Kachipura before escaping from Nagpur.

Police investigations have revealed that Simran and Rishabh assisted the accused in coordinating their movements and escape. Following this, both were taken into custody and are currently being interrogated for more information.

Meanwhile, efforts to trace and arrest the remaining accused, including Bunty Hiranwar, are ongoing. The case has sparked widespread concern across the city, with police promising swift and strict action against all involved.
