Burglars stole gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 2.32 lakh from a locked house in Nagpur’s Wathoda area while the owner was away.

Nagpur, India: A burglary took place at a locked house in Wathoda, where thieves stole gold ornaments and cash worth around Rs 2.32 lakh.
The burglary occurred between 12:00 p.m. on November 5 and 1:00 p.m. on November 8, 2024, while the complainant, Roshan Mohan Gedam, 43, had locked his home and traveled with his family to his native village in Kalsgaon, Chandrapur district.
When Gedam returned home, he found that unknown burglars had forced open the lock on the main door of his house, located at Plot No. 39, Kohale Layout, Yogeshwar Nagar, Dighori.
The burglars broke into an iron cupboard inside the house and stole gold jewelry and Rs 2,000 in cash, causing an estimated loss of Rs 2.32 lakh. Following Gedam’s complaint, the Wathoda police filed a case against unknown suspects under Sections 331(3), 331(4), and 305(a) of the BNS, and further investigations are ongoing.
