Burglary in Nagpur: Thieves steal jewelry worth ₹1.77 lakh from a locked house while the family was away on a pilgrimage.

Nagpur, India: A major robbery was reported at Gulshan Nagar in Nagpur, where thieves made away with gold and silver jewellery worth approximately ₹1,77,800. The incident occurred between August 8 and August 14, while the residents were out of town on a pilgrimage.
Vinod Ramji Banpe, a 31-year-old resident of Plot No. 72, Udiya Vasti, Gulshan Nagar, had locked his house and left with his family for Ujjain on August 8. Upon their return on August 14 at around 1:30 PM, they discovered that the main door lock had been broken and the house ransacked. The thieves had gained access to a bedroom, where they broke into an iron cupboard and stole the valuable items.
A complaint was immediately filed at Kalamna Police Station. The case is being investigated by Police Sub-Inspector Ajay Garje, who has registered the crime under sections 305, 331(3), and 331(4) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police are currently working to identify and apprehend the unknown culprits involved in the theft.
Residents of the area are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities as the investigation continues.
