Sehore, India: A passenger bus travelling from Khatu Shyam to Nagpur overturned in Sehore district’s Shyampur area on Monday morning, leaving five passengers seriously injured. The accident occurred around 10 am when the bus, carrying 35 passengers, lost control after the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle.

According to SDOP Pooja Sharma, the preliminary investigation indicates that the driver’s attempt to overtake caused the bus to lose its balance, resulting in the crash. The injured passengers were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

This incident marks the second major accident in the Shyampur region in recent days. Just the previous day, a car overturned at the Doraha junction due to high speed and reckless driving, injuring five people.

Authorities are continuing to investigate both accidents, as the region faces growing concerns over road safety.
