Vidarbha, Chandrapur, India: The team from the Chandrapur Municipal Corporation (CMC) conducted a raid on two godowns in the city, resulting in the seizure of 2,060 kg of prohibited plastic. The owners of the godowns faced penalties for this violation.
In light of the upcoming Assembly elections, the Chandrapur Municipal Corporation has taken proactive measures to curb illegal activities within its jurisdiction. The CMC squad conducted raids at Wadi Gold Transport in the Pathanpura locality and Kumar Transport in the Binba Gate area, confiscating 2,010 kg and 50 kg of banned plastic, respectively. Violations of this ban are subject to fines and penalties under the law.
The CMC has offered a cash reward for anyone who provides information regarding the stock of banned plastic, ensuring that the identity of the informer remains confidential. The raids were executed under the direction of Vipin Paliwal, with participation from Chandan Patil (Additional Commissioner), Ravindra Bhelave (Deputy Commissioner), Akshay Gadling (Assistant Commissioner), Santosh Gargelwar (Assistant Commissioner), Dr. Amol Shelke, Rajul Panchabuddhe, and their team.
