Maharashtra's Revenue Minister and Nagpur’s Guardian Minister, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, will unfurl the tricolor at Nagpur's main Republic Day function on January 26 at 9:15 AM. The event will take place at the Kasturchand Park ground, marking the official celebration in the city.
The Maharashtra government has also revealed the list of ministers who will serve as the chief guest at Republic Day functions in various districts across the state. Governor C.P. Similarly, although Bawankule is the Guardian Minister for both Nagpur and Amravati, he will attend the Nagpur ceremony. In his absence, Minister of State Indranil Naik will be the chief guest at the Amravati function.
The following ministers will serve as the chief guests at Republic Day functions in Vidarbha districts:
- Washim – Hasan Mushrif
- Yavatmal – Sanjay Rathod
