City Police Arrest ATM Theft Gang, Seize Cash and Stolen Goods Worth Over Rs 5.9 Lakh
Crime Branch arrests 3 members of inter-state ATM theft gang, recovers Rs 5.9 lakh in cash, phones, and car in city operation.

Nagpur, India: In a major crackdown, City Police's Crime Branch Unit-4 arrested three inter-state gang members involved in stealing cash from ATMs across multiple areas. The police recovered Rs 28,500 in cash, three cell phones, metal strips for tampering with ATMs, and a Hyundai i20 car, with the total seized items valued at over Rs 5.90 lakh.
The accused have been identified as Atul Vishram Pal (19), Rohit Bahadur Singh (24), and Shivmurta Ramkhiwan Pal (24), all hailing from Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh. The gang was involved in ATM thefts in the Sakkardara, Nandanvan, Hudkeshwar, and Juni Kamptee areas, with multiple cases registered across various police stations.
Using CCTV footage, the Crime Branch team arrested Atul Pal and Rohit Bahadur Singh. Other gang members fled upon learning of their arrests. However, Unit-4 officers pursued and apprehended Shivmurta Pal, who was attempting to escape in a Hyundai car on the Samruddhi Mahamarg. He was captured near Dhamangaon railway station.
The police have detected four cases following the arrests and continue their investigation to track down other members of the gang. The successful operation was conducted under the leadership of DCP (Detection) Rahul Maknikar and ACP (Crime) Dr. Abhijeet Patil.
