City Police Arrest Youth with 8.9 Gm Drugs and Weapons in Nandanvan
City Police's Crime Branch arrested a young man in the Nandanvan area with 8.91 grams of MD Drug on Wednesday evening.

Nagpur, India- A team from the City Police's Crime Branch arrested a young man in the Nandanvan area on Wednesday evening. They found 8.91 grams of mephedrone (MD) powder worth Rs 89,100 and Rs 9,200 in cash on him. The police also seized a sword, a cellphone, and a scooter worth a total of Rs 1,29,400 from his vehicle.
The suspect, Mohammad Abrar Mohammad Nisar Ansari (24), lives in Sadbhavna Nagar. Acting on a tip-off that Mohammad Abrar was selling drugs, the Crime Branch set up a trap and stopped him while he was riding his scooter.
They found the MD powder on him and discovered the sword in the scooter's utility box. He was handed over to Nandanvan Police, who charged him under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the Arms Act, and the Maharashtra Police Act. Further investigation is ongoing.
The arrest was made by PI Mukund Thakre, PSI Madhukar Kathote, and other officers under the supervision of senior Crime Branch officials.
