A dual-chip cash card has been introduced for the Indian Navy by a startup based in the city. Abhijeet Daigavane, CEO and co-founder of Nagpur-based startup Atom O'Sphere developed this innovative card, functioning like an ATM card, to facilitate payments on naval ships in both offline and online settings. The card is now in use on three major warships: INS Vikrant, INS Visakhapatnam, and INS Ranvijay. This achievement was celebrated at the "Swavlamban 2.0" event, where Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Hari Kumar were present.

The card's business process was crafted by naval officer Capt. Vasu Dheeraj, with the online component managed by a nationalized bank. Abhijeet's team, including Capt. Raj Raney, Ravindra Yadav, Rohit Raney, Abhayjeet Yadav, and Gaurav Naik, handle the offline mode. The "SBI NAVeCash" card is built on AtomNet, a unique fintech solution developed by Atom O'Sphere. Following its success on the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya a couple of years ago, the card is now being introduced on other warships.

Abhijeet Daigavane expressed his pride in the achievement and gratitude to the Indian Navy for giving a newcomer the opportunity to showcase their capabilities. The Chief of Naval Staff, Hari Kumar, recognized Atom O'Sphere in his speech, and the Navy Chief encouraged the company to expand the system to over 100 naval ships and establishments.

In essence, the card allows naval personnel to make payments both offline and online, providing a convenient solution for transactions on naval ships.
