On Wednesday, a formal complaint was submitted at a local police station against Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and his family members, accusing them of offending with a viral video depicting their Christmas celebration. As of now, no First Information Report (FIR) has been officially filed in connection with the case.

The complaint, filed by Sanjay Tiwari at Ghatkopar police station through his attorneys Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, alleges that the video shows Ranbir pouring liquor on a cake and setting it on fire while uttering the phrase "Jai Mata Di."

The complainant contends that in Hinduism, the fire god is traditionally invoked before other deities, and asserts that Ranbir Kapoor and his family deliberately used intoxicants while celebrating a festival from another religion, all the while chanting "Jai Mata Di." This, according to the complaint, has caused hurt to the complainant's religious sentiments.
