Computer Hardware Seller Duped of Rs 18.06 Lakh in Share Trading Scam
Computer hardware seller loses Rs 18.06 lakh in share trading scam by cyber fraudsters. Police investigating the case.

Nagpur, India- Dattu Hiraman Mankar (35), a computer hardware vendor residing in Sharda Nagar, Date Layout, Jaitala, fell victim to a scam involving Rs 18.06 lakh purportedly in share trading. According to police reports, Mankar was contacted on May 20 by fraudsters claiming from a mobile number (44741851863). They enticed him with promises of high returns through their mobile trading app.
Believing the scam, Mankar started investing, initially seeing profits. Over time, he invested Rs 18,06,300 at different intervals. However, when he attempted to withdraw funds, he realized he couldn't access either his principal or profits. Upon realizing the deception, Mankar promptly reported the incident to the police.
The MIDC police registered a case under various sections of the IPC and IT Act upon receiving Mankar's complaint. The investigation into the fraudulent activities is ongoing to apprehend those responsible for the cyber theft.
