CR Launches Weekly Summer Special AC Train Between Pune and Nagpur

Central Railway introduces a weekly summer special AC train on Pune-Nagpur route to manage holiday rush, with services from April 12 to 25.

Nagpur, India: To ease passenger load during the summer vacation period, Central Railway (CR) has announced a new weekly superfast AC special train between Pune and Nagpur. The special service will run for 14 trips from 12 to 25 April.

The train, numbered 01439/01440, is being introduced to provide extra accommodation and reduce the pressure on regular trains, which are experiencing heavy waitlists due to the holiday season.

Train Timings:

Each direction will see seven services within the schedule.

Stops on Route:
The train will halt at Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, and Wardha.

Coach Composition:
The train will comprise 20 coaches, including 8 AC 2-tier coaches, 10 AC 3-tier coaches, and 2 guard brake vans.

Bookings for these special trains are open at all computerised reservation centres and through the IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in. Fares will be charged as per special train rates.

This additional service is expected to provide much-needed relief to passengers travelling during the busy summer season.
