Crime Branch Arrests Thief, Recovers Gold Ornaments Worth Rs 4.31 Lakh

Crime Branch arrests 23-year-old Vickey Yogesh Daheria for theft in Umred, recovering gold ornaments worth Rs 4.31 lakh. His accomplices are still at large. The arrest was made under the guidance of DCP Rahul Maknikar and ACP Abhijeet Patil.

Nagpur, India: The Crime Branch has arrested a 23-year-old man involved in a theft in Umred and recovered gold ornaments valued at Rs 4.31 lakh from his possession.

The incident came to light when Crime Branch officials, on routine patrol in the Pachpaoli area, grew suspicious of a young man, later identified as Vickey Yogesh Daheria, a resident of Zade Chowk, Dahi Bazar, Shanti Nagar. Upon searching him, the police found several pieces of gold jewelry.

During interrogation, Daheria confessed to stealing the gold from the residence of Jitendra Balkeshwar Sharma, a 54-year-old from Waygaon Ghoturli in Umred. He also revealed the names of his accomplices—Manthan Moreshwar Sakure, from Shanti Nagar, and Gurupreetsingh Parbindarsingh Bhatiya, from Yashodhara Nagar—both of whom are currently at large.

Daheria has been handed over to Umred police for further legal proceedings. The arrest was carried out under the guidance of DCP Detection Rahul Maknikar and ACP Abhijeet Patil.
