Crime Branch Raids Jack & Jill, Rudra Royal; Illegal Liquor Network Busted
Nagpur Crime Branch Raids Restaurants, Seizes Illegal Liquor Worth ₹79,520

Nagpur, India: The Crime Branch has busted an illegal liquor network after raiding two restaurants and seizing alcohol being served without a licence. Three persons, including two restaurant owners, have been booked in connection with the case.
According to police reports, Crime Branch Unit No. 01 conducted a raid at Jack & Jill Restaurant in Bajaj Nagar on Sunday night. The raiding team was shocked to discover that the restaurant owner was running an illegal beer bar within the premises. Customers, including women, were found consuming liquor at the restaurant during the raid.
The accused, identified as Jagdish Parwani (owner) and Rishabh Sunil Menon (25), a resident of Kamptee, were found serving liquor without the required licence. The police seized liquor bottles, glasses, tables, chairs, and other materials worth ₹73,120 from the spot. Both accused have been booked for violating liquor laws.
In a separate operation, another Crime Branch team patrolling the area raided Rudra Royal Family Restaurant in Chinchbhavan on Wardha Road, under the Beltarodi Police Station limits. During the raid, they arrested the restaurant’s manager, Shailendra Toliram Thakre (25), a resident of Wardha Road. Liquor bottles, beer, glasses, tables, chairs, and other items worth ₹6,400 were seized from the restaurant, and the accused was booked under relevant sections of liquor laws.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sanjay Patil, DCP Detection Rahul Maknikar, and ACP Crime Abhijeet Patil.
