Crime Branch Seizes Banned Tobacco Products in Nagpur, Three Arrested

Crime Branch raided a paan kiosk in Nagpur, confiscating banned tobacco products worth Rs 66,183. Three individuals were arrested in connection with the seizure.

Nagpur, India: A team from Unit-4 of the Crime Branch conducted a raid at a paan kiosk near Hasanbag Kabrastan, where they confiscated banned flavoured and scented tobacco, along with paan masala, valued at Rs 66,183. Three individuals were arrested in connection with the incident.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Sagir alias Kallu Abdul Rasheed (50) and Sajan Sheikh Gulam Dastagir (36), both residents of Hasanbag, and Subhash Karulal Jain (45), a resident of Darshan Colony, Nandanvan. The trio told the police that they had obtained the banned products from Balya Bisen, a resident of Mahal.

A case has been filed against the accused under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the Food Safety and Standards Act at Nandanvan Police Station.
