DAIMSR celebrated their National Sports Day

The Fit India Movement is a broad-based initiative in India that aims to inspire people to incorporate sports and physical activity into their daily lives in order to maintain their health and fitness. On August 29, 2019, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the initiative in New Delhi.
In recognition of the birth anniversary of renowned hockey player Major Dhyan Chand Singh, DAIMSR National Sports Day was observed. Competitions such chess matches, sack races, rope jumps, plank challenges, lemon spoon races, and walk races were conducted as part of the sports day, which was organized with zeal and love. 475 students took part in total.
The event was organized and labored over by Dr. Sumant Wachasundar, Prof. Kothiram Giraswale, Prof. Nikhil Khandar, Prof. Jayant Gondane, and Prof. Tejas Walokar. The efforts of the academic members and volunteers were complimented by Dr. Monika Jain, Head of BCCA, Dr. Sarang Javkhedkar, Head of MCM and NSS In charge, and Dr. Saket Bansod, Head of BBA.
