Suhani Bhatnagar, who gained fame for her portrayal of young Babita Kumari Phogat in the movie 'Dangal', tragically passed away on February 17 in Delhi at the tender age of 19. Reports suggest that she faced complications related to medication following a leg fracture. Aamir Khan's production company confirmed the heartbreaking news.
According to sources, Suhani had previously suffered a leg injury, and the medication she received during her treatment allegedly led to adverse effects. It is reported that her body started retaining fluid, which may have contributed to her untimely demise. However, an official confirmation is awaited regarding this matter.
Suhani had been undergoing treatment at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi for an extended period before her passing. Her funeral arrangements are set to take place on Saturday.
Suhani gained widespread acclaim for her role as young Babita Kumari Phogat in the acclaimed 2016 film 'Dangal', where she shared the screen with Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, and Zaira Wasim. Besides her acting endeavours, she also appeared in various commercials, showcasing her talent.
Following in the footsteps of her co-star Zaira, who announced her retirement from the film industry in June 2019, Suhani took a break from acting to focus on her studies. She remained inactive on social media, with her last post dating back to November 2021.
