Nagpur, India: Nagpur is preparing for a grand welcome as Devendra Fadnavis, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Maharashtra, is set to visit the city on December 15. This will be Fadnavis' first trip to his hometown after assuming office as Chief Minister for the second time on December 5.
Initially, it was announced at a press conference by BJP leaders Sandip Joshi and Bunty Kukde that Fadnavis would arrive on December 12. However, a revised schedule released by Sandip Joshi, the former Honorary Secretary to the Chief Minister, confirmed his arrival at noon on December 15.
The people of Nagpur, along with members of the Bharatiya Janata Party's city and district units, are making elaborate arrangements for a warm reception. Enthusiasm is palpable among residents and party workers eager to catch a glimpse of their leader. The city is adorned with posters and banners displaying congratulatory messages, especially along the route from Nagpur Airport to Laxmibhuvan and onward to Fadnavis' residence near Trikoni Park.
As the city gears up for this momentous occasion, the streets are expected to be bustling with activity to celebrate the homecoming of Nagpur's favourite son.
