In a surprising turn of events, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has relocated an international cricket match scheduled for Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium (VCA), Jamtha, for the second time this year, without providing any explanation. Originally slated to host the fourth match of the Twenty20 series against Australia on December 1, Jamtha has now been replaced by Raipur, according to the latest tour itinerary released by BCCI on Monday night.

This decision comes as a disappointment for Nagpur cricket enthusiasts who had already missed out on hosting any World Cup games this season. Notably, in 2011, Jamtha successfully hosted four World Cup games, including the high-profile India versus South Africa match.

Earlier in the year, Jamtha was also set to host a One-Day International match against New Zealand, but for reasons unknown to the public, that match was shifted to Raipur as well. This marks the second instance in the same year that BCCI has altered plans, leaving Orange City cricket fans disheartened.

The Australia T20 series is set to kick off with the first match in Visakhapatnam on November 23. Reports suggest that VCA had undertaken substantial ground renovation work, particularly on the drainage system. Despite earlier assurances from top officials about completing the work on time to host the international game, they remained unavailable for comment after the recent venue change announcement.
