Nine individuals lost their lives in an explosion at the Solar Explosives Company in Bajargaon, situated around 38 km from Nagpur along the Nagpur-Amravati road. According to Superintendent of Police Nagpur (Rural) Harsh Poddar, the incident occurred during packing at the cast booster plant.

The blast occurred around 9:30 am on Sunday, resulting in several injuries. The cause of the blast and the number of casualties are under investigation. Among the deceased were six women and three men, with three individuals critically injured. There is a possibility of the casualty count rising.

In response to the tragedy, the Maharashtra Government announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh for each family of the deceased in the accident.
