A tragic incident unfolded in Fetri village, within the jurisdiction of Kalmeshwar Police Station, as a family dispute turned fatal. Yashwant Shankar Ingale (65) was brutally murdered in his sleep by his son-in-law, Firoz Shabbir Sheikh (34). The police reported that Firoz, a resident of Fetri, used a rod to strike Yashwant on the head, resulting in his untimely demise.

The motive behind this heinous act appears to stem from a dispute between Firoz and his wife, Mona, which escalated to involve Yashwant. Firoz and Mona had been married for seven years and shared a five-year-old daughter. However, conflicts between the couple led Mona to separate from Firoz and return to her father's residence. She even initiated divorce proceedings.

Despite Mona's decision to leave him, Firoz persisted in his attempts to reconcile with her. He frequently visited Yashwant's house, urging Mona to return to him, leading to frequent arguments. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Prob IPS) Anil Mhaske stated that Firoz, suspecting Mona of infidelity, became increasingly frustrated as she refused to reconcile.
