Fatal Blast Claims Life of Employee at Bhandara Ordnance Factory

A tragic incident unfolded at Ordnance Factory, Bhandara, as one employee lost their life in a blast on Saturday morning. Authorities have promptly constituted a three-member committee to investigate the unfortunate event.
The deceased has been identified as Avinash Meshram (52), an employee who had commenced the morning shift. The blast, originating from the HEX Department of the Ordnance Factory in Jawaharnagar, on the outskirts of Bhandara in Maharashtra, resonated at around 8:15 am. Avinash Meshram was discovered motionless after the explosion. Colleagues rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The factory administration has initiated necessary procedures to provide compensation to the bereaved family, and arrangements for the deceased's pension are also in progress.
Assistant Inspector of Police from Jawaharnagar, Sudhir Borkute, revealed that the late Avinash Meshram hailed from Gondia district. Bhandara District Collector Yogesh Kumbhejkar informed that a senior officer from the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health has been tasked with visiting the accident site for further investigation.
