Prayagraj, India: A large fire erupted on Sunday at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, where millions of devotees had gathered for the religious event. The fire was sparked by an explosion of two cylinders in Sector 19, causing flames to spread quickly through the camp area. Fire tenders were immediately dispatched, and the blaze was successfully controlled.

Thick smoke was seen rising from the scene, with visuals capturing the scale of the fire. Bhaskar Mishra, In-charge of Akhara Police Station, confirmed the cause, stating, “A cylinder explosion in Sector 19 triggered the fire. Firefighters are working tirelessly to control the situation.”

Authorities confirmed that no casualties have been reported, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the explosion. The incident has raised concerns over safety at the massive religious gathering, which draws millions of people from across India and beyond.
