Nagpur, India: A fire broke out in a transformer in the Narayan Peth area of Prem Nagar on Wednesday evening. The fire, caused by a short circuit, destroyed the transformer completely. This led to a power outage in nearby areas.

The fire started quickly and spread across the transformer. Residents nearby called the fire brigade, who arrived on the scene. By the time the fire crew got there, the power supply had already been turned off, which helped avoid a bigger accident. The fire was soon put out.

Power supply in areas like Prem Nagar, Narayan Peth, Shriram Wadi, and Lodhipura was affected. The Electricity Department has said they will replace the damaged transformer soon, and power will be restored. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the fire.
