Hospitals in India report a spike in patients as a result of the country's increasing heatwave conditions.

Owing to the current heatwave that is affecting several parts of India, there is an increased risk of heatstroke and other related illnesses. According to reports earlier on May 3, hospitals throughout India are witnessing an unparalleled rise in patients with heat-related ailments. 

Experts have cautioned that this trend may continue in the days ahead as intense heatwaves continue to ravage the nation. To keep track of heatstroke cases and fatalities, the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has also developed a digital platform.

Physicians at 120 government hospitals in 21 states will now upload data directly to the platform, according to those with knowledge of the situation, to assist public health policymakers in making well-informed decisions.

People can recognize the first aid signs of dizziness or uneasiness by consulting the Health Ministry's list of procedures-

1. To replenish fluids, sip water.

2. Try to wear loose clothing.

3. Quickly relocate to a cooler location.

4. Apply a wet sponge or piece of cloth to your forehead. In addition, applying an ice pack to your neck, wrists, and forehead can aid in bodily cooling.

5. Never provide drink or food to someone who is unconscious.

6. The Ministry has additionally advised calling an ambulance or going to the closest hospital if the symptoms continue.
